Energy Saving

  • By automatically turning down the temperature of your thermostat by 5 degrees for eight hours a day, either when you are not home or when you are sleeping can cut your heating bill by 10 percent or more.
  • Use the sun to your advantage. Keep your curtains open during the day, especially on the south side of the house where you get more direct sunlight. Close the curtains at night so they act as barriers to reduce drafts.
  • The warm air blowing out of your registers needs a clear path into the room to provide even heating. So, if you place your favorite recliner or a sofa over the register, you will be limiting the flow of heat. It's like leaving the vent partially or completely closed. To cut heating costs, arrange your room so that the register is as unobstructed as possible.
  • Invest in insulation. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in energy costs are lost each year due to escaping heat and cold air in homes without proper insulation. Get some inexpensive insulation from your local home improvement store, and cover up all those areas where heat might escape. Start with foam weather stripping for your doors and windows; it's cheap and is extremely easy to apply.

Your Home, Your Comfort

About 50% of american homes are heated with gas today, wich provides a more stable supply. These days there are more gas lines being put into neighborhoods, opening the door for homeowners to switch out of old inefficient oil heating systems for more efficient gas units. We have assisted many home owners in the process of switching from oil to gas. If natural gas is not available to you, propane is a great alternative.

Reardon HVAC services, maintains and installs Gas Furnaces, Hot water boilers, Steam boilers and Ductless heat pumps.

Our main focus is always your comfort. We assist you in the selection of the best heating equipment for your individual needs and budget. We sell and install Amana furnaces and Utica boilers and we service all major brands of heating equipment.

Gas Furnaces

Gas furnaces are a reliable, efficient way to heat your home. Whether you are looking for a modulating, two-stage or single stage gas furnace, Reardon HVAC can provide you with a reliable gas furnace that will guarantee the comfort you want with your budget in mind.

Ductless Heat Pump

Ductless heat pumps (mini splits) make good retrofit add-ons to houses with "non-ducted" heating systems, such as hydronic (hot water heat), radiant panels, and space heaters (wood, kerosene, propane). They can also be a good choice for room additions where extending or installing distribution ductwork is not feasible, and very efficient new homes that require only a small space conditioning system. The main advantages of mini splits are their small size and flexibility for zoning or heating and cooling individual rooms. Mini splits have no ducts, so they avoid the energy losses associated with the ductwork of central forced air systems. Duct losses can account for more than 30% of energy consumption for space conditioning, especially if the ducts are in an unconditioned space such as an attic.

Gas boilers deliver efficient, consistent warmth. Reardon HVAC can install a high quality gas boiler to fit the tightest spaces, with boiler controls and zone controllers tailored to your particular residential application. We service, maintain and install Hot water boilers and Steam boilers./p>
